How does the online name drawing work?
The organiser enters the names and optional exclusions. Everyone then receives the same group link and privately claims their own name to reveal one recipient.
Can the invitation link be shared through WhatsApp?
Yes. The organiser can use the user-initiated Share action or copy the link into WhatsApp. No email collection or automatic delivery is involved.
What happens if an exclusion makes the draw impossible?
The generator reports that the configuration is impossible and saves nothing, so the organiser can remove or adjust an exclusion safely.
Privacy and retention
Names, event details, exclusions, and fixed assignments are stored in the connected database. Access uses secret credentials stored as hashes where appropriate, with secure HttpOnly browser cookies.
Access ends immediately when the exchange expires. Exchange records are eligible for deletion 30 days after the exchange date; automated deletion only runs after the authenticated cleanup route is scheduled by the operator.
